this section contains code and sample output etc. my language of choice for empirical complexity theory research is Ruby. I started using Ruby in ~2003 after years of using Perl. Ruby has a much better syntax and design. almost my only complaint is that sets are not built into the language, but hashes are, a close 2^nd.
